Promoting and Fundraising at Floriade

With the fantastic support of our major corporate partner and community champions, Synergy Group, Board Members and the Raw Potential team along with the great help of our wonderful service providers at Woden Community Services, spent each weekend during the 2022 Floriade Festival collecting donations and speaking to visitors about the work of Raw Potential.

The on-site presence during Floriade was a bonus fundraising and branding opportunity alongside of the generous opportunity presented by Synergy to raise additional funds through the sale of bulb bags.  The bulb bags provided admission to residents and others converge on the Floriade site on Monday, 17th October 2022 (the day after the event finished) and fill their bags with bulbs and other flowers.  This was a wonderful initiative which not only supported local charity but will ensure that many local gardens are filled with colour again in 2023.

Raw Potential Deputy Chair, Barry Sandison and Board Director Sue Maloney pictured above were enjoying one of the lovely Spring days at Floriade.  Barry and Sue were welcoming visitors and collecting a few extra funds to help the work of our Outreach Workers who do so much to support vulnerable young people either dealing with homelessness or at risk of homelessness, as well as coping with other issues in their lives.
