Canberra Day Fundraiser for RAW

One of Canberra’s most loved and unique tourist attractions, Cockington Green Gardens is donating all of its Canberra Day (Monday, 13th March) entry fees to Raw Potential Canberra in conjunction with the Hands Across Canberra Giving Day appeal which kicks off on Wednesday, March 8.

Cockington Green Gardens is doing a special $5 only entry fee for adults, children and seniors on Canberra Day encouraging lots of locals to support the fundraiser and get a very good value walk around this unique attraction.

Cockington Green Gardens Director, Mark Sarah said, “We continue to try and  support the disadvantaged and less well-off in our community and this has been part of our business model since first opening more than 40 years ago.”

“Since Dollars for Dili we have contributed almost $50,000 to local charities from our Canberra Day activities alone supporting such organizations as Pegasus, Rise Up, Children’s Medical Research Institute, Youth Care Canberra, Canberra City Care and Ronald McDonald House.   Despite the difficulties our business has experienced over the past couple of years due to the impacts of COVID19, we are pleased to do what we can to support Hands Across Canberra’s appeal this year which is doing so much to help people in our community who need lots of support,” added Mr. Sarah.

Raw Potential Canberra Chairman, John Miller, added, “The support by the family at Cockington Green Gardens is incredibly generous despite the tourism industry still trying to recover from the impacts of COVID.  It would be wonderful if the community not only supports the fundraising directed to Raw Potential Canberra but also support great local businesses like Cockington Green Gardens during this difficult time.”

We encourage lots of locals and supporters of Raw Potential Canberra to get out and take advantage of the very special offer to help raise extra much needed funds for RAW.
