Blooming Amazing Floriade for RPC
Raw Potential Canberra has received an amazing donation during a recent cheque handover and made possible by our wonderful corporate partner, the Synergy Group. Synergy Group as the major partner of Canberra’s highly celebrated and successful Floriade event collaborated with the Property Collective and Events ACT in raising $75,000 during the Floriade Festival.
Synergy Group CEO, Toni Marzulli is pictured handing over the funds to Raw Potential Canberra Chair, John Miller at a post-Floriade event held recently.
The funds raised were divided equally between Raw Potential Canberra and See Change resulting in $37,500 available to Raw Potential Canberra to apply to supporting vulnerable young people in the local community. This is a timely boost after a couple of years where fundraising activities have been limited and particularly at a time when our outreach workers are dealing with an ever increasing demand for help.
Speaking after the handover, Raw Potential Canberra Chair, John Miller said, “This is an incredibly generous level of support and highlights the values of our major partner Synergy Group who have a laser-like focus on contributing to the local community. Whilst they are clearly a very successful organization they appreciate that their success and growth is also dependent on the prosperity and well-being of the community. Raw Potential is so fortunate to have been supported by the Synergy Group for more more than six years with their commitment to give back to their community.
“I also acknowledge the fabulous contribution of the great people at Property Collective through their cubby house fundraising. They are very forward thinking in their approach to supporting the community and deserve all the success they achieve. Additionally, the team at Events ACT are to be congratulated on delivering such a wonderful event despite some periods of wet weather. Their container recycling initiative which also contributed to the fundraising was greatly appreciated.
“We never take for granted the support we receive from the business community and the community more broadly and the board will make sure that this generous donation is put to very good use in supporting our vulnerable young people, many dealing with homelessness or at risk of homelessness, as well as confronting many other issues in their lives,” concluded Mr. Miller.
